It Was Just
Grandpa was a competitive man
even with us kids.
When we played
any kind of game
he never let us
win.
Never.
Not at any age.
It wasn't that he ached
to teach us object lessons
build our characters
or sketch worthy goals.

Grandpa hated to lose.
