Her fear is a purple monster with sad puppy-dog eyes.
He doesn't get why she hates him, why she runs away.
He wants to play. He has no desire to cause her harm
never did. Wasn't he the one who never left her
never abandoned her? He just wants to be close to her
watch over her dreams. He vows to protect her.
He may not be the most sophisticated of friends
but his intentions are, sometimes.
Sometimes, when he shows up she runs
hard and fast in the opposite direction.
He hasn't given up, however.
He vows he never will.
He is lonely and misunderstood--
she often mistakes him for her own unbelief.
