There is nowhere to go

what is

right here

the moment wherein
you find peace
the peace that comes
from knowing
this is all there is
Whenever the feeling arises

the unnameable something
that will finally
make you happy
recognize what it is:
ego rising
stretching after sleep
intent to get you
to invest in its agenda
take a ride on its bandwagon
where once you're settled
it'll ride you so far so fast
you will have no choice
but to keep going
round and round
until it's ready
to stop
