Jackie's Monsters

Little Jackie Horner knew there were monsters under his bed but he didn't want the monsters to know he knew, so he pretended to be brave and act like there were no such things as monsters under little boys' beds.  He knew monsters only eat little boys who are afraid of them, so he sat in his corner and ate his Christmas pie as though there were no such things as monsters under little boys' beds.  The monsters were onto him though and when he pulled out his thumb and proclaimed what a good boy he was, as if there were no such things as monsters under little boys' beds, the monsters ate him anyway.
